.: About ARRL Kid's Day

Kid's Day is an on-air event to encourage young people (licensed or not) to have fun with Amateur Radio. It is designed to give on-the-air experience to youngsters and hopefully foster interest in getting a license of their own. It is also intended to give hams a chance to share their station and love for Amateur Radio with children of all ages. More information on ARRL Kid's Day can be found by clicking here.

.: ARRL Kid's Day 2017

I'd like to thank everyone involved for making our 2017 Kids Day event a huge success. The four young operators made a total of 355 contacts, including 12 DXCC countries and 8 contacts on 10 meters. That's the most contacts ever made from here during a Kids Day. Epiphany and Kailey really cranked out the contacts!!! Great job girls!!!
Perhaps having all of North America in a "deep chill" kept people indoors and on the radio. I'm certain it would keep me indoors!!! Again, thanks for another fun Kids Day!!!

Thanks & Aloha,
73,
Lloyd KH6LC
